WPCC Summer Short Breaks Bulletin – changes and free copies

The WPCC Short Breaks Activity Bulletin is a guide to what’s on for children & young adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities aged 0-25yrs during school holiday periods. Because of the impact of COVID-19, the WPCC Summer Short Breaks Bulletin is going to be a little different this year. As it is uncertain at this point what restrictions will mean in terms of organisations being able to run clubs and activities during the summer, instead of promoting clubs and activities, this year’s Summer Bulletin will contain lots of links to online activities, resources, ideas for things to do, and more.

Hard copies are normally posted to parent carers who have told us they can't access it online and have requested a hard copy, as well as Schools, Children’s Centres, Libraries and other SEND related settings and services across Wiltshire. It is always available online via the [WPCC website] (the new Summer Bulletin is now available on the website).

Unusual times due to the coronavirus pandemic
Due to these unusual and challenging times and in light of the fact that we have been unable to run face to face events for the last couple of months, the WPCC has decided to offer to post a free hard copy of this year’s Summer Short Breaks Bulletin to any parent carer living in Wiltshire who requests a copy.

If you would like to request a copy of the WPCC Summer 2020 Short Breaks Activity Bulletin, please request your copy by completing our simple form: [Free Summer Bulletin]. Please note, all parent carers who normally receive hard copies of WPCC Short Breaks Bulletins will automatically receive a hard copy of this year’s Summer Bulletin as normal and therefore do not need to complete the request form.

Order requests must be submitted by 5pm on Sunday 5th July to enable us to order sufficient copies and post out in time for the summer. If you are unable to complete the online form, you can request a copy by emailing: or by telephoning the WPCC on: 01225 764647.

Don’t forget to check in regularly to the WPCC’s online [Children and Young People’s Calendar] which we will update to show details of any clubs and activities etc. that do manage to offer opportunities during the summer
