Is Your Child Starting School in September?

If your child is starting school in September, Public Health England is reminding all parent carers to check to make sure that their pre-school children are up to date with their vaccinations to protect them from several and potentially serious diseases.

At school, children mix with large numbers of other children in a confined environment, which increases the risk of infections spreading. This can put unvaccinated children at greater risk.

You can check your Red Book (personal health record) or contact your GP surgery if you are not sure if your child has had all their routine vaccinations.

For more information, please see the following letter from Public Health England.
