Proposal to Increase Number of Places at Silverwood School

A proposal to increase the number of places at Silverwood School is currently up for consultation as part of a wider plan to ensure sufficient SEND places across the county.

Silverwood School is a special school with campuses across three sites at Rowde, Trowbridge and Chippenham. All three sites came together in September 2020 as one school now known as Silverwood School. Due to growing demand, Silverwood School now has 377 students (as at 01/03/2021).

Wiltshire Council is proposing to increase the place numbers at Silverwood School from 340 to 410 so that students at Silverwood School can continue their education at the school and to allow for the intake of new students in September 2021. The major build project, if approved, will see the capacity of the Rowde site grow during 2021-2023.
