Supporting families so they don't miss out on life-changing Disability Living Allowance help


Contact (previously known as Contact a Family) wants to make sure families aren't missing out on millions of pounds of extra income because they don't claim Disability Living Allowance (DLA). As part of the next phased of their Counting the Costs campaign, they have launched ‘Love DLA’ month.

Throughout March 2015 they'll be dispelling some commonly held myths about who is and isn't eligible to claim DLA and how Contact can help. Their Counting the Costs campaign has found there are many myths about DLA eligibility, for example many families think they need to wait for a diagnosis before claiming, which isn’t the case. They want to change this and increase take up of this life changing benefit.
