Accessible climbing centres and Mary’s Story

Mary was born with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. She loves to climb but found that it was a struggle to find information about accessibility at climbing centres and felt that she didn’t fit in with the other climbers so she gave up the sport. With support from her medical team, Mary decided to get back into climbing as a para-athlete. She is on a mission to blow away the myth that disabilities and climbing do not pair together! Mary has created her own website where users can submit access information about centres in order to share with the wider community.
