Disability Swimming county training

Disability Swimming.png
Supported by Aiming Higher Funding and in partnership with the ASA and local swimming clubs, Wiltshire Council is pleased to offer monthly county training sessions for swimmers with a disability.

These sessions are aimed at children and young people aged 8-19yrs with a physical, sensory or learning disability who are interested in competitive disability swimming.

This group meets at Devizes pool monthly on the first Saturday of each month between 4pm – 5pm. Their next session is on Sept 3rd 2016 and they have use of the whole pool – 25 metres and 4 lanes and have access to qualified teachers and coaches from local clubs – Chippenham ASC, Calne Alpha and Devizes. They accept all swimming abilities and try and cater for the individual swimmers that come along, ranging from serious club swimmers who are national standard to learners who want to improve or just have fun! They are funded and insured by Wiltshire Council and are a post 2012 Olympics project that kept on going! For more details please contact Stephen on 07743703586.
