Bereavement by Suicide Support

The Swindon and Wiltshire Support after Suicide Service will be joining the Access Community Mental Health offer, for anyone affected by a bereavement by suicide. Rethink Mental Illness will be accepting referrals for anyone who needs emotional as well as practical support, in the aftermath of a suicide.

Support is available to people of any age in Swindon and Wiltshire who are bereaved by suicide e.g. family, friends and people exposed to suicide e.g. witnesses, first responders, neighbours, colleagues and health and social care professionals. The service is free to access.

Core opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. For those who require support during the evening or weekends as a result of day time commitments, Support is available up to 8pm.

To make an initial referral or to refer yourself you can complete this [referral form]. Alternatively, you can call the Wiltshire Access Service who will take your referral information on: 08082 803528 or email: sandwsupportaftersuicide@rethink.org.

There is lots more information on the [Rethink website] including: free resources and leaflets to download, as well as details about the support that can be offered.
