Carer Support Wiltshire Talk and Support Service

This service may be helpful to you at this time, especially if you’re not getting as much social contact as you’re used to. It is open to all carers.


One of Carer Support Wiltshire’s friendly and trained volunteers will give you a call regularly to check in and have a chat. Volunteers call every 2 weeks for 30 – 45 minutes and that call can be day time or evening. The volunteer and carer find a time that suits them both and then this is usually set for the duration of the befriending calls; 12 weeks. They may be able to help you with a problem you’re having, or just be a friendly voice and listening ear. Carers have found the calls supporting, time to get away and have some time for themselves and an opportunity to talk to someone outside their family and friends.

Don’t feel alone or isolated, which is very common when you are caring for someone – please do call them on 0800 181 4118 and they can register you for this service.
