Free Pilot Course for Families with a Child with Autism & Severe Learning Difficulties

Created by Ann Saunders, a qualified teacher with 37 years’ experience working in Special schools, Sunlight Learning is a course which empowers parents and carers of children with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties with the practical skills to extend their child’s learning into their family home. The course uses Teaching, Life-Coaching and Mentoring techniques in a unique way to enable change to happen within the family home. It involves both Educational Skill Workshop sessions and Individual Family sessions over a period of 16 weeks. By the end of the course the family will have planned and successfully implemented a specific change within their home for their child i.e. Expanding the use of PECS communication within the home, Creating and using a visual schedule, helping the child to dress themselves more than they do now or enabling the whole family to have more fun together in joint activities.
