Who are these workshops aimed at?
Any parent or carer, supporting a child with additional needs who would benefit from using visual communication tools. This includes children who are verbal or non-verbal and those that have a diagnosis, an ECHP or neither.

What does the workshop cover?
The workshop covers basics such as ownership and looks at three specific boards; [Now/Next], [Weekly Visual Timetable] and [Personal Planning]. Attendees will learn how to support their child on a journey to greater independence.

What's included?

When you participate in a free workshop, you will also receive a FREE Board! You can also join a free follow-up workshop. The boards are free; OurBoards have a policy of one board per child. Attendance is key, non-attendees cannot receive a free board, even if they booked onto the workshop.

The follow up workshops are all about the parents and how they have been getting on with the free boards for their child. It's an opportunity to give feedback and also for everyone who attends, a space to share their experiences following three weeks from using the boards. There is no pressure or expectation on anyone to purchase anything from OurBoards.
