Creative Art Based Workshop - An Opportunity to Share your Thoughts on the Aims in the Wiltshire Learning Disability Strategy
The Voice It, Hear It team at Community First are excited to be working with Wiltshire Council to inform the development of the new Learning Disability Strategy. They want to hear from people with Learning Disabilities, families and carers. Young people are welcome to attend on their own if this works for them, or they can attend alongside their parent carer(s).
The team would like to know what you think of the strategic aims and if you think there is anything missing.
The aims that they would like to explore in more detail during the workshops is as follows:-
• Ensuring Choice, Control, and Independence
• Increasing Housing Options to Enable People to Live Locally
• Providing Opportunities for Skills and Development
• Being Happy, Safe, and Healthy
• Encouraging the Use of TEC (Technology Enabled Care) to Promote Independence
The workshops (which includes lunch) will be running at the following locations:-
Wednesday 18th September 2024 - Community First Beacon Business Centre, Hopton Road, Devizes SN10 2EY, 11:00am - 1:30pm
Tuesday 8th October 2024 - Community First, Beacon Business Centre Hopton Road, Devizes SN10 2EY, 11:00am - 12:30pm
