Canal Trips from the Kensington Foundation in Lancashire aboard their canal boat the Margaret Cane.

The boat is equipped with a wheelchair lift, wide corridor and doors to accommodate wheelchair access. The gallery is fully equipped with oven, grill, hob, microwave, fridge, sink and cupboards. It is fully stocked with crockery and cutlery. A collapsible breakfast bar provides additional worktop and dining space. There is also spacious centrally heated living accommodation gallery, dining area and lounge with television, dvd, radio, reading material, games and toys.

The boat is available for short residential breaks and can sleep up to 8 people. There are two en-suite bedrooms.

The break would include a cruise on the Lancaster canal (the boat moored about 30 minutes’ drive from Blackpool) with a qualified skipper and crew to help and assist your break. Buoyancy aids are available for all ages. Although staff skipper and crew the boat whilst in motion, guests are encouraged to join in the fun of using the tiller to steer the boat during the cruise. The boat is secured in the evening so families can enjoy a relaxing night aboard during the short break holidays.
